When buying a PC please consider only Quad Core Processors and compatibility of DDR3 RAM in the Motherboard

Re: best possible pc in 40k.....
^^^
no need sir
quad core - only if you are into 3D rendering/media enciding kind of stuff
C2D proccys are more than enough for the present and near future games...
DDR3 is not that superior to DDR2 as DDR2 was to DDR and is also very costly. so you wont be upgrading to DDR3 anytime soon. (but the GDDR3 in GFX cards pwns the DDR2)

Re: best possible pc in 40k.....
Intel DDR3 mobo-- intel bonetrail for 12k - the only good geek board by intel now.
and just prefering intel mobos is not a good idea , even though they have a very good build and stability..if u need performance u gotta move on.

^ well on that very page he has mentioned this too--

On the other hand, if you want to go with a Intel setup which I do not recommend then go for Intel Core 2 Duo E6550 CPU with Asus P5E-VM HDMI Motherboard.

but u need performance -- so Q6600 all the way

Q6600 has 1066FSB while E8400 et al has 1333FSB
if there is no efficient use for a quadcore why buy it when better/cheaper 45nm C2D options are available ??

Re: best possible pc in 40k.....
why does FSB matter here ?
Quad core is effecient , more future proof and ofc better than these dual cores.

When you have 4 Processors doing your work simultaneously 1066 MHz FSB is more than enough dude
Also the board gives you the flexibility to change to a good proc and DDR 3 in the future

the problem is we dont have much softwares that gets work done from all 4 cores
but I agree with your DDR3 statement.
