Sudden Unexplainable System Freeze...

My configuration:
XFX 680i LT SLI board.2 gigs Transcend 800 mhz dual-channel.sparkle 8800 GT 512 (one, for now),320 gb sata hdd,500 watts coolermaster smps, vista home basic.

everythings fine except every third day or so, the rig just freezes for no reason. no mouse/keyboard response. ctrl+alt+del works sometimes and unfreezes it, sometimes it doesnt and i have to reset hdd.

no viruses as checked by updated AVG.

what could be wrong????

to me its seems to be either a ram prob or OS prob.

Check for file system error with windows file checker.
