Default AM2 or LGA775

I m bit confused abt AM2 socket & 775 Socket ?

Recently my frnd purchased assenbled PC frm Lamintn road

His config was AMD 64X2 4000 CPU (AM2)

M2N MX -SE mobo

I've heard dat Intel is leading in market than AMD

but i was surprised 2 see dat his mobo has inbuilt N-vidia Chipset with
512 MB VRAM (awesome)

Does intel has dat in Onboard memory.....

I guess with dat much VRAM he can play some latest games @ wat settings I don no ???

So IS dat config nice 4 mid-range gaming or G-Card is essential ?

if u think bout gaming then a dedicated gfx card is a must.onboard gfx cannot be considered for gaming.casual gamiong maybe but not serious gaming.
and that shared 512vram is of no use cuz oits shared from system ram, whose speed slower than dedicated vram on gfx card.

better buy E2140/E2160 instead of X2 4000+.

Asus M2N-MX SE does not have onboard Video memory, its shared from system memory as hellgate mentioned.

Intel E2160 + IntelG33/G31 is a good combo compared to AMD right now.

If you want good onboard graphics try 780g based AMD motherboards I got one and Call of Duty 4 is running like a dream. G33 onboard graphics are useless for gaming.
