The best for your config would be CORSAIR VX450 but it costs around 4.2K. Its way better that what you have shortlisted but since you have a budget of 2.2k hen get the coolermaster PSU (atleast 450W).

coolermaster eXteme power 390W is good deal

It has dual 12V rail capable of supplying 34Amp ( 16+18 ) which is enough for you.

EDIT : coolermaster 390w will supply only 18amp so you will require at least coolermaster 460W. or the best will be CORSAIR VX450 as suggested by john.

You just can't add up the Amps of the dual 12v rail to get the total amps. The coolermaster 390W has 216W for the dual 12v rails. So the total amp would be 216W/12v= 18A.
Its not really 34A.
The one I had suggested CORSAIR VX450 has 396W on the 12v rail. So it's Amps. comes to 396W/12v=33A.

Dual rail means that the total Amps is divided between both the rails. So the CM 390W can output a max of 18A. You can't just max out both the rails at the same time.
So if rail one is outputting 16A then don't expect the other rail to output 18A. One or the other is fine, but never both… at least you can’t do it and expect good performance from those rails.

All these llow end PSUs which claim to be Dual 12V rails, is non sense, its actually a single rail split into 2.
Very few ( High end) PSUs have true independant rails.

if a psu has EPS12v connector (8-pin) then its a added bonus though its not a very essential feature.my CM Extreme Power Duo 650W has ATX12v connector and i've had no probs in using it with mobos whihc support EPS12v connector like Asus P5B Dlx,abit IP35-E,etc.had no probs with oc.
read somewhere in this forum that Corsair 450w is available for 3.7k.get it if u can.
else buy CM.

^^^ comgrats on ur new psu and rig.
i think that my mobo will be replaced under warranty.it suffered physical damaged.the screw driver slipped frm my hand and chipped out a diode from the PWM area.
atleast my lappy has been replaced under warranty (oc'd the 8400GS and lappy went dead).

Question To all with Cooler master , Antec and Corsair PSU owners

Are you guys on a UPS or without it ?

Could you please post the make and ratings of your SMPS and UPSes?

Please.

Thanks

PS: Am asking as I am planning to upgrade my SMPS , and my place is renowned for frequent power cuts , as of today I am on a local ( navtech , 450 watts ( so called ) SMPS and a so called home UPS from Microtek rated at 810 VA.

Are your SMPSes compatible with home ups'es and if yes which brands and makes .

What all are the feasible options for back up during power cuts ( which can be for hours ) for a person who wants a robust power supply like Corsair HX 620?
