Not able to boot from pendrive

I copied the entire contents of xp Professional installation cd into my pendrive.I changed the first boot device as USB FDD in the BIOS .But the system is not booting from pendrive.Same is the case with LInux LIve CD
Help me plz

its because you cant boot an XP or Linux Live CD from a copied files. The CD contains boot image file, and it wont be copied to the pendrive. And there was tutorial in this forum on how to create a XP live CD, but not how to boot it from pendrive

One more thing your BIOS should be able and set to boot from pendrive , if the pendrive is bootabe
