Question blue screen


Hey frnds
my system is just 2 year old.Now whenever i try to copy some dvd or cd either my system reboots or blue screen problem arises.
So,wheather it is d problem of my sony cd drive or segate hard disk?
any solution?

blue screen has many reasons.
please be more accurate.

try booting from safe mode, if it still happens, clean your tower dust it and then reconnect the IDE and the power cables properly.

I have the same problem due to bad sectors on HD. Scan HD for bad sectors.

scan for virus and also check for errors with hardisk

here is what you should do... when your computer is booting up...b4 the windows logo appears,keep pressing the f8 key... you should now have some options on screen...select disable restart on hardware failure... now resume working on your comp... now if some problem occurs you will get the blue screen for sure... now there should be a code in there.something like 0x0... note down the code and google it..u should have ur answer
