Default Need a pc for around 35-40k


hi,
i am planning to upgrade my system in 2 weeks.i need to buy the folllowing:
1)cabinet
2)mobo
3)graphics card
4)HDD
5)RAM
6)PSU
main purpose is for gaming .i would like to know the best configuration i would get for my budget(35-40K).i also have a 15" LCD monitor and wanted to know whether i can continue using it with my new system.thanks in advance

Go in for a Dell 22" widescreen LCD panel, you will love it when playing games!

Do you have a processor?
Gfx card - MSI 88000GT ~12k
HDD Seagate 320GB(with 16MB buffer) ~3.5k
RAM - 2GB Transcend 800Mhz ram ~1.1k

mobo - Abit IP35E/MSI P35 Neo = 5.2k
RAM - Kingston/Transcend 1GB x 2 DDR2 800 = 2k
PSU = Cooler Master 400W min = 3k
Proc = Core2Duo E8400 = 9k
or Q6600 = 10.3k

Other stuff has already been given.

Yes you can use your LCD for this setup.

But go for the quad core processor if you are a hard core gamer.
Btw, you can use your monitor on this setup.

ya thanks.then i suppose i shall go for the E8400.btw if i dont want the 8800gt can i go for the XFX 9600gt.i wanted to know whether this card has heating problems like the 8600gt.

^^Im not sure about the heating problems, but i think its better to go for the 8800GT than 9600GT.

i think the E8400 wud better for gaming.at least thats wat i feel personally cuz i've used a Q6600 and now i'm using a E8400 and i feel that performance in games has increased.

i just wanted to know whether a 400w PSU will be sufficient.and i also want to know which cabinet to buy .Please suggest a cabinet and PSU that will fit into my budget.

^^^ a good 400w psu from companies like Antec or Corsair will surely suffice.

it depends on whether ur buying CM Real Power or Extreme Power.
Extreme power 600w will cost u bout 3-3.5k but Real Power 500w will cost u bout 4-4.5k
