I get this error while installing Win XP

A problem has encountered and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.

1. If this is the 1st time you've seen this stop error screen, restart your computer. If this screen appears again follow these steps.

2. Check to be sure you have adequate disk space.

3. If a driver is identified in the stop message disable the driver or check with the manufacturer for driver ipdates.

4. Try changing video adapter.

5. Check with your hardware vendor for any BIOS updates.

6. Disable BIOS memory options such as caching or shadowing.

7. If you need to use safe mode or remove or disable components, restart your computer, press f8 to select advanced options & select safe mode.

Ah the evergreen BSOD issue.Check your RAM or the HDD.Either one of them must be the culprit here.Try using single RAM stick & check with each one.

I had the same problem at first.

I set the hard disc as the master using the jumper and tried installing XP from another CD.And it worked!

Check the RAM modules. Try plugging in different DIMM slots and set BIOS to optimized. And as its assembled, make sure everything is inserted and installed properly on mainboard. Basic thing, but it helps often!
