Which WS LCD for 10K?

Hi friends..I am planning to buy a wide screen LCD monitor and my budget is 10k.I would like to go for 17" wide screen.Please refer me any good lcd monitors in this range.
I would also like to know how safe is LCD over CRT as I have one CRT monitor at present.

For 10k you can easily get a 19" WS lcd from any brand of your like. But stay away from viewsonic, read that it has very bad aftersale service. Also make sure that the lcd has DVI input, don't buy a lcd which doesn't have DVI.
And as for how safe is lcd, what do you mean by it?

Advantage of lcd:
Low power consumption (less electricity bills)
Doesn't strain your eyes.
Light weight (easy to move around)
Very small footprint (more desk space)
Looks are way better than CRT

in hyderabad you know abt this CTC???Actually i m new in hyderabad and everybody here is humming about CTC for purchasing PCs...actually i m thinking abt buying a whole new PC and dispose my old p4 pc..

For 10K, you'd be better off getting a 19" as there wouldn't much of a difference in prices between a 17" and 19".

Still, If you want a 17", check out Dell SE178WFP/E178WFP. Both are priced around 9.5K. You'll be assured of exccelent after-sales service with Dell.

in 10K you can get a Good 19" WS
in 17" only price will be little less nothing else

Buy Either
LG 19" - approx Rs. 9800
or
ViewSonic 19" - approx Rs. 9200/-
in Mumbai

dont go for acer
