Default 15k budget for some upgrading, suggestions please!

Hii Guys!!

I'm getting about 15k from my mom for upgrading my PC!

The current Config is something like this :
Pentium D 805 at 2.66 GHz
2x512 DDR2 533 kingston RAM
D945GNT mobo

so I wanna get a gfx card for about 8~10k. The ones I have in mind are 9600GT and HD3850. Which of these are better and any other suggestions??

I'd obviously play games with the card (at about 1024x768) and do some 3d rendering + photoshop...

I'm not a extreme gamer but I do enjoy good graphics

I need to get a smps too for the gfx, current iBall smps won't hold!!

I wanna get a decent smps for about 2k...

now that leaves about 2k in my hand from which I wanna get a RAM module for the rig (preferably 2 GB)

Now the question is, that pairing a DDR2 667 (or maybe 800) with a DDR2533 MHz will lead to any problems??

I've got the 512 kingstom on DIMM 0 and will want to use 2 other sticks on DIMM 1. So actually the Kingston is paired with kingston and new sticks are paired to each other??

Now will that lead to any problems???

Edit : Found Patriot 2 X 1GB PC-6400 (800 MHz) RAM Modules for Rs. 2,655 so I'm really tempted to upgrade!

As for gfx go with 9600 GT if it's available. if not go with 3850.
I think msi 9600gt based card is about rs. 10000

For psu aka smps you could find one rated 500-600w smpa under Rs. 3000-3500.

Look for brands like antec, coolermaster, corsair

Yea it will lead to probs. Always use rams with same frequency.

For rams look for brands like kingston, corsair, transcend,
Kingston 1GB is retailing @ Rs. 900-950

But i'll suggest U to upgrade your cpu to c2d series
check your mobos manufactures site for cpu support

Your mobo doesn't supports c2d's
http://support.intel.com/support/mot.../CS-026630.htm

So I can suggest you to go with xfx 8800 GT & 2*1 GB ddr2 Ram.
Those should around Rs. 16000

I wud recommend u to wait for some-time till motherboards supporting the new
AMD-780G chipset are released....this card has an onboard DX10 card and
works in hybrid graphics mode....so an addition of a new card will make it work
in tandem with the onboard one....it supports full HD 1080p playback and also has gr8 onboard audio.....so plzz take it on a serious note!!!
see this thread regarding the AMD-780G
Preview: The new AMD 780G with onboard DX10 graphics card!

and see this official amd780-g link for specs!!

Well, I've got to do 3ds Max rendering, downloading, photoshop AND web Designing!!

So no consoles for me...

I called up a guy at Nehru Place, here's a list of stuff I'll be buying ::

9600GT (dunno about the manufacturer)
Cooler Master Extreme Power 650 Watt (will this baby suffice??)
Corsair 2x1 GB DDR2 667Mhz RAM
Corsair 4GB Pen Drive

So any improvements???
