Default Is 450W enough ?

I have the following PC config:-

Intel Core 2 Duo E4400

2GB Ram

1 DVD RW Drive

2 SATA HDDs

NVidia GeForce 8600GT (BIG)

My PC depends on a 450W rated power supply unit. Currently it is running fine. But will continue to operate trouble free? If not then can anyone please suggest a better PSU ?

Budget < 3K

if it works fine then it will work fine for long TILL you add any other power hungry hardware.its better to upgrade later..

if its operating fine , then why change smps ?
if u want to OC more and have higher rail stability u can go4 cooler master extreme power 500W which costs 3.2k...with this smps you will have no trouble at all even with a 8800GT.
but i see no reason why you should get this smps. . u can buy a new smps when you upgrade next.

for ur config even a zebby 500W pure platinum -1.8k should do , but i hear a lot of people complain about zebronics.

If it makes you feel better I have the SAME configuration other than the fact that my Processor is an AMD 4400 and I have a TV Tuner on my system with an XFX 8600 GT , I am using a 450 W SMPS now and it is working fine.
