Right Off the Assembly Line

Actually I have installed a modem but I dont have its driver and I dont know its manufacturer (been given by my friend) and I dont want to remove it because I cannot fix the metal plate back at that slot to cover the CPU cabinet. Please help me how to fix this problem. |

Go to the device manager and disable that hardware (having the yellow question mark).
You can try forcing the standard 56k modem driver if you really want to use the modem. But disabling the device should fix your problem.
