Exclamation Screen gets blue.

Hi all,
Something weird is happening with my CRT display, it gets blue frequently. Once I just slapped it in frustration and it worked properly then for sometime, but now even slapping it doesn't help. In between it works fine for sometime, but then again it goes blue.
Please help me, I can't even watch movies properly and its hurting my eyes a lot!

check the back connectors (both ways-monitor and PC's VGA out),
if that doesnt work get it serviced-its a dry solder most probably

Dude don't aggravate the situation by hitting it constantly. It would lead to some internal damage which would cause it to malfunction completely later on.I used to do this with my Sony TV earlier but then one day got no picture out of it.

Some internal connectors must be loose.Get it checked by the hardware vendor ASAP.How long has it been with the monitor?

Your computer [and monitor] is a non-living thing, despite all the sounds it makes. Non-living things DO NOT respond to oustside stimulus. Therefore, PLEASE, don't sap your monitor...

Well the monitor is around 2 years old, but it displays the content very crisp, but only with a blue ting. Connections are perfectly OK.

Are you sure the connections are OK? Internal hardware is something we won't be able to diagnose. So it's better to get the hardware person to check the connections to the tube.

I thought you got a BSOD...
noise from the mobo or procy or GPU can cause such problems.
also, weakening picture tubes on TVs get pink colour. maybe monitors get blue colour.

I think you have a loose connector (or damaged). the connector of monitor gets loose sometimes for no reason. My old LG monitor got this problem. Please look at it, and dont try to repair or slap around, if you cant do it externally, give it to some repair center. monitors have a nasty habit, they can blast if tempered with badly, so please practice caution.
