Default how to use dual channel mode in ram


hai frendzz , im hving 2 sticks of of 1gb transcend ram how to enable them in dual channel mode both are ddr 400mhz.. my proc is amd 3200 n asus mb..

If your mobo has four slots then, insert the RAM at 1st and 3rd slots. Or find the same color slots and insert in that.Before this first confirm whether your mobo supports dual channel or not.

dual channel works only if you put your RAM on slot 1 & slot 3 or
slot 2 & slot 4

if you put in 1 & 2 or 3 & 4 it works only in single channel

well it depends on the motherboard itself whether like colored slots are 1and 3 or 1and2
but rams should be inserted in same colored slots only to enable dual channel

But, some MBs come with only 2 RAM slots.

Some MSI mobos shud require mem modules to be arranges in slot 1 nd 2 for dual channel
