Default cmos problem!!!

i have a pc, with msi mobo.
and its been an year since i got it..
but recently for the apst 3 months, i m facing a strange problem with it,.
i set the cmos settings and everything,, it works for 2-3 days, very well..but suddenly after 2-3 days, the cmos resets...back...2 default,,,,, all the date adn time and rest of the things go away..even the admin password in cmos goes away....
i even updates my mobo with the latest cmos, 2 overcome the problem, but the same....
wots the problem pals....
cause if the prob was the battery, then the mobo wouldnt have even saved the settigns 4 2-3 days.....

thanx

clock battery is the culprit. I had the same problem recently. Changing the battery solved it.
