Default Laptop RAM DDR2

hi friends,
I want to upgrade my RAM (512MB) with an additional 1GB.
Would it be compatible. If so then which is the best one what would be its price.

Its better to get the same RAM manufacturer as your existing. What is the exact model of your laptop?

For compatibility issue, read laptop manual.
1) What type of memory and how much memory is supported.

You can buy RAM of any brand. This is not a problem. Prefer Kingston/ Transend.

@ritish: Your laptop supports 533MHz memory and is installed with 512MB RAM. I would suggest to opt for Transcend's 533MHz modules as it is preffered OEM supplier for many laptop makers (including HP, Compaq, Sony etc.).
