what to do in My system ...

Hello Frnds,
I'm using ASUS K8VM Motherboard with an AMD Sempron 1.6 processor....My problem is from last few weeks My system on giving the power is not starting ...i mean when i start the system , processor fan start working everything looks ok..but system doesn't starts .... nthng happens

I'm using my hard disk from past few months as a slave hard-disk in another computer where hard-disk works fine .......

Also last day when i again tried....this time system even refuses to start( means motherboard fan didn't start) & when i took my hard disk away and started my system without harddisk then fan is running like wind .... i mean i cant understand what is going on ??

So where the actual prblm lies in my system ...HELP ME !!!!

Take out the MB battery and try starting without it
