HI GUYS ...... I NEED SOME ADVISE OR OPINION FOR ASSEMBLING A COMP FOR MY PAL ...... HIS BUDGET COME TO MAX OF 12-14 THOUSAND ...... ONLY FOR THE CPU

HIS USE`S HIS COMP MOSTLY FOR GAMES, MOVIE, AND FOR MUSIC PURPOSE .

AH ! AND HE IS A NO NO TO AMD PURELY INTEL (THAT`S THE SAD PART ).

~~ I HAVE MY WON CONFIGURATION IN MIND FOR HIM.... BUT I THOUGHT THAT IT WOULD BE UNWISE TO GO FOR IT WITHOUT ASKING U AMAZING GUYS .

~~ IT WOULD BE NICE IF U GUYS LET ME KNOW THE PRICE OF THE GREY MARKET OF THE PRODUCT BRAN U SUGGEST ( CHENNAI HERE).

Get the Intel Q6600 2.4Ghz which costs around 12k.

My suggestion:
Intel C2D E4300 for 4600.
2 x 1GB Transcend Ram for 2100.
Segate 160GB HDD for 2500
Motherboard maybe something like Intel DG33 will be good. you can get them for less than 6k. Wait for other members to give suggestions on that.

All this for approximately 15k.

thanks dude .... i had something of that kind in mind ....... but my buddy he does not want to burn more than 12-14 k . so even me am a bit what to do position

As I Said... My Pal Uses His Comp Mostly For Games Movies And For Music.......

^^if he wants to play any of the latest games then onboard graphics is definitely not good for gaming. If he can spend another 6k then he can get a 8600GT.

Does he want the mobo+proccy+ram only or the whole dabba?
in the 1st case i wd hav gotten the
Palit n73v - 2.6k
e4500 -5k
8600gt- 5.2k
2*1gb ddr2 667 mhz ram - 1.6k
14.4k.
Even the xfx650i ultra + e2140 + 8600gt+ 2gb ram wd be good.

wants the whole set processor+ram+HD+ graphic card(if possible)+ a combo drive
