My friend just got a new 512 ddr 333 Mhz memory module. He has an old one of 256 MB 400 Mhz. So i got that module from him. Now the problem is that my 512 ddr ram shows 132.9 mhz frequency. Now I have never heard of such frequencies , maybe I am ignorant. Nevertheless here is what cpu-z shows.
Now my 512 module can it pair with the 256 mb 333 mhz one.
And by the way my mobo is 845G

The memory is currently running in 266Mhz, coz 2*133=266. That is 133 is single path interleave. Its correct.
See in bios if the memory speed is set to 266, or r u sure the 512 one is 333.
If it runs on 333, then on cpuz itll show 166+-1~2

yep u can use both.. Currently ur 512 is running at 266mhz (actual 133mhz)..
If u use both then change the frequency to 166mhz in the bios (333mhz) and save it

I am not at all sure as to what my 512 module's frequency is, the bios shows 133 Mhz

You mean to say that I can use both modules by just setting the frequency to
133mhz
Intel 845 chipset supports only 266mhz DDR Modules. So whatever modules higher than 266mhz DDR (meaning 133*2mhz, as shown in your bios) are put in they'll down clock to 266mhz.
The 133mhz shown is correct in the bios as DDR = double data rate = speed * 2 = 133 * 2 = 266mhz.
The only problem you may face is the timing in-compatibility, which you can test with cpu-z. Try out the stick on your machine for some dayz.

plugin that 256 nd 512 nd set the frequency in bios as 133[if there is any option like that].
If there isn't ny option then they ll be automatically run at the frequency of the lowest speed ram, in ur case bothll run at 133, ie effectively 266 Mhz 768MB.
@infra, i think 845 supports 333Mhz ones also. Correct me if am wrong.
^^ Is it 845 GL or GV. GL supports only 266 Mhz max & GV supports 333 Mhz max.
My old mercury 845 gl agp mobo has option for set 333 Mhz mem speed in bios.
Even if I set them 333 Mhz with my zion 2x512MB ddr rams they always run @
266 Mhz. Confirmed it with many hardware tools like cpuz etc.
How do I find out, but cpu-z says it is 845G.
And friends I don't mind at what frequency it works, all I want is that to know that is it safe to use both of em.
