2 problems regarding vista

Hey folks......

My pal is using vista home version on his HP pavilion lappy......

First problem:

When i tried installing alcohol on vista ....everything got screwed....... it entered into a reboot cycle n was rendered useless... had to recover vista using the recovery disc......

So i need to know how to install a software that can emulate vistual drives in vista ?( definitely w/o screwing it up)

Second problem:

Can anyone tell me how to connect a vista lappy to desktop using XP SP2????? tried but failed.....

please reply fast ........ its urgent!!!!!!

2 GB DDR2
160GB HDD
8400GS
and all those silly lappy things like fingerprint n webcam etc etc etc

1) had faced same problem. please use magicISO or powerISO

2) use ipmessenger software to copy data. Disable firewall in vista and see if you can connect xp to vista.

Sure magic iso or power iso wont do the same wat alcohol did???????? Man he got scared ......2 days ago he bought his lappy and already a recover done.......

Are u sure ipmessenger wil solve the problem of connecting

I am using poweriso for past couple of months on vista
and I am using ipmessenger to copy data between winxp and vista hosts.

google for the link.. download the x86 version with the patch on their site.. ! and plus add a exception in windows firewall in vista to succcessfully conect to XP, and you must be the other small things..

i use Daemon tools on vista regularly...Havent faced any problems with it as yet..
