Default HELP pleeeez... ext HDD

i bought a 500GB maxtor basis ext HDD a week ago. de 1st day it worked fine... but after few days it gave some prob... n not its completely not workin.

think there is some prob with de power supply. but when i contacted Segate service they said they will replace it but will not recover de data.
WHAT sud i do? i m soo depressed

than must be problem with the hard disk itself.
Get it repleced .

Check if the casing requires a dual head usb connector for sufficient power.
