Not booting....

My Bios does not recognize my CD players but after booting xp, i get one player-DVD writer but my CD writer is not there.............

Since My CD players are not recognized by my motherboard, i will not be able to install xp freshly................

What should i do?

Go for checking the Data cable and the power pins are properly connected to the CDROM. And next make the BIOS configuration default. And then boot up to see if the problem prevails or not.

Re-plug ur hard ware or CLean it

When i search Devices @ Device manager, i get my cd-ROM Back but after booting again, i loose it. What should i do?
Isn't 400W power Supply enough for this config?

chk the dvd drive in another compu.......and also see if ur mobo support usb booting to install xp.
Why dont u use ur dvd writer?

Bcz my bios did not recognize any of my drives........
Only after booting to xp, i get my dvd drive.........
