Mobo without onboard sound ???????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Which mobo do you own dude ?

By the way whats ur budget for the card ?
If its around Rs 500 then go for Realtek prima which is based on ALC888

If its around 1-1.5k then go for Audigy value 7.1 24bit

if you can shell out over 2.5k then get an Audigy2ZS which is the cheapest card that has its own DSP

And if you have around 8-15k then look at the x-fi series..

I never used a seperate Audio Card lol.

Anyway I only use it for games and use headphones so a realtek HD Audio onboard is more than enough.
