There is a ghost in my monitor!!!Monitor going crazy!!!!!!need help.....

hi people my monitor is going crazy.it has suddenly started showing the menu for the color adjustment,degauss,etc.when i push the exit button on the monitor it appears again and it flashes continuosly i.e it appears and dissapppears very quickly,showing diffrent menus like luminance,geometry,color adjustment,degauss,etc.
the menu appears in the center of the screen and keeps flashing continously it is very irritating.since it is the menu of the monitor i am unable to post a screen shot.please help.
i have tried switching off the monitor and after some time switching it on but that didn't help.
so i switched off the p.c and took out the power cord of the monitor and reconnected it again. also i took out the display cord and reconnected it again.but that also didn't help.
my monitor is Benq P776 17 inch crt monitor.

I do not think it is due to some trick by any evil-programmer. Perhaps something wrong with your Monitor itself.
