hp pavilion v/s dell inspiron

over the last few days i have written quite a few posts asking abt laptops since i am getting confused evry now and then.plz help me out with this1.

i have enquired abt dell 1520 cost comes out to be 44k. but i then thought of portability. so chked the price of 1420 i.e.14'' and it wud be 3k cheaper at 41k with a difference of 1 gb of ram instead of 2gb.

now 1420 comes with vista.

also hp pavilion dv2401 14'' is available at 40k with windows vista.rest specs of both r almost same. considering the waiting period of 21 days shud i go for dell or settle for hp.

one more thing hp does not support xp drivers anymore while dell inspirons have the support , so just in case i need to downgrade to xp i can do it with dell.

so wht shud i opt for?

I would opt for Dell on any day.

they have the better support and give better performance but less eye candy.
