please help immediately system not working

my system is not working. i tried to reinstall xp but it says that booting failed. previous day i saw an error message which says windows file corrupted. then it restarts two to three times. i tried whith live cd of ubuntu also but the message is same. i checked bios cd drive is the first boot devise. what is the problem please help. i connected my phone to my friend's computer which is previously affected with a boot loader virus. is it a virus infection or hardware problem. can i reinstall xp?

Dude... give us more details.. What exactly did you do, that your system has become unusable..?? Was it okay before..? did you install a new software? Does your system boot now..? If you are able to boot into a live CD, probably you should be able to reinstall XP..!

i can'nt boot it. i did not installed any program. i can'nt boot from a live cd also.
