DVD related queries

Hi guys..
I just bought a lite-on dvd writer.
so there r some queries that I have in my mind, like
1) which dvd+r brand shud i go for..I need a reliable one as i need it for long time backup.

2) I have p3-667mhz, 256MB, winXP pro. plz recommend me the speed at which I shud write my dvds. (I used to write cds at 16x-24x)

Ya 16x writting speed is good and for the brand go for Samsung DVR RW.

sony n moserbear are good brand.

You can write @4X , 8X.

for how much can you buy moserbaer dvd+r ??
and I believe theres a variety in moserbaer dvds..like theres moserbaer pro (in red and black logo) and a plain moserbaer (no color in logo)..which ones better ?? which ones real !!??
