Question Ram support problem


please tell me is the 667 Mhz RAM is supported by intel D102 board which support maximum 533 Mhz ram.

I think NO.

If motherboard support only upto 533 MHz RAM, than you can use 667 MHz RAM.

If it supports DDR 2 533 MHz then it will support DDR 2 667 Mhz in "reduced speed" i.e. 533 Mhz

if it supports only DDR 1 533 MHz then it wont support any DDR 2

I dont agree with you.
If your motherboard dont support 800 Mhz RAM..than you can't use 800 MHz RAM.

The RAM chip will underclock in following condition:
* suppose your motherboard support 667 MHz RAM, and you already have a 533 MHz RAM.Now to have added another RAM of 667 MHz.Than new RAM(667 MHz) will underclock to 533 MHz.

yes..even you cant insert DDR2 RAM chip in DDR1 RAM slot.Both RAM chip have different body structure, and so have different RAM slot.
