Default dual core on D102 board


I recently puchased a intel dual core 1.60 processor and intel D 102 motherboard. when i start it ,it can not produce any activity. even though light of mother board is on an cpu far run .
please tell me is D102 support this processor.
motherbords socket and processor socket is same(LGA 775).
my friend have core two duo 2.8 on D102 which runs perfectly.

yes..dual core processor are supported by D102 motherboard.

Try with another set of RAM.

which dual cores?
the ones having FSB of 800 MHz and lower?

yeah they will work with the board.

Intel D102 has support for processors upto Pentium D.it doesnt support C2D and Pentium Dual Cores (E2140 & E2160).

remove the proccy from the mobo.u may hav already damaged ur proccy.
