Question Can I connect my XFX 8600GT to the PCI slot?

I have an XFX 8600GT graphics card with me which i bought yesterday.
in its user manual it is instructed to connect the card to the PCI or AGP slot.

Is it a typo?

Doesit mean that I cant connect it to PCI-E interface?

Also can I connect it to my friends intel original 845GLVA motherboard with no AGP slot and only pCI slots?

Default Re: Can I connect my XFX 8600GT to the PCI slot?

^^^ the instruction manual that was issued with ur card was a general noe and wasnt specifically printed for ur card.
never try to insert that card into a slot other than pci-e,cuz doing so will damage the card.
as of now all the 8-series cards come only for the pci-e interface.
