AMD ATHLON 64 3200+ - 1815/-
ASUS M2N - MX SE - 2550/-
512 MB DDR2 - 690/-
80GB Segate HDD - 1800 /-
Cabby + SMPS - Rs. 1200/-
kbd+mouse = 500 /-
Lite on DVD RW - 1340 /-

9895/- + 395 ( 4% TAX ) = 10290 /-

you can remove the DVD RW and reduce the cost further.

I purchased the following recently

AMD sempron 3400+ (64 bit)
MSI K9MM-V Motherboard (video, 5.1 surround sound and lan onboard)
Combined Price - Rs. 3600
kingston 512 DDR2 RAM Price - Rs. 750
Other parts I reused from old system

I was surprised to find my new sempron twice as fast as my old P4 1.5
