help in connectin' lan

hi,
i hav a prob in connectin 2 pcs in lan. i hav a cross-cable n i hav did it b4 but i dont know,

now a days they never connect. firstly, it shows limited or no connectivity n secondly only my

own pc is displayed in my network neighbourhood. both d comps hav win xp pro n i use d wizard

2 connect them... HELP!
