Default HDD upgrade

Hi,

I want to upgrade my 40GB HDD to a 250GB HDD. Currently my RAM is a 256MB chip (Model: Hynix PC266). How much additional RAM is required for proper operation of the HDD ? And also are there any restrictions on the type of RAM and speed (like 533MHz...). Please advice me

Buy 1 GB RAM a nd 160 GB HDD......coz the 256 MB RAM is nothing now days!

You ll get a 250gb seagate IDE for 2.6k..
and a 1 Gb ddr 400 mhz ram for 1.8k..
