What is the minimum requirement for a External TV Tuner Card?

Hi friends,
I have a pretty old system.. The configuration is
P III 1.0GHz
384 MB RAM
20GB Hard Disk

I would like to watch tv channels using my computer. I have a idea of buying a External Tv Tuner Card. Whether I can use that External Tv Tuner Card in my system? or What is the minimum configuration required for that?

If I can use... Then suggest me a good External Tv Tuner Card... I dont have any idea about External Tv Tuner Card...

The system u are having is sufficient to use a TV Tuner card. Infact, u really not gonna need a computer to use a external TV-Tuner Card, but u gonna need a monitor.
There are many options available in the market depending on ur budget!
Starting from 800/- to 15,000/-....or may be more!

^^^if recording is not important then go for standalone set top box type vga tv box .so u dont need to turn on pc every time u want to watch tv....

vga box like techcom ssd tv 722 for rs 1600/- is good for most crt monitors...

If u want to record, then buy a USB TV Tuner card or Internal TV Tuner.

My budget is 3k-3.5k.. Suggest me a good USB tuner card..

Can anyone confirm if I take USB TV Tuner box ( i.e. Tech Com etc ) & use for Laptop, Can I record TV on HDD ?? Or it works only with Internal TV Tuner >?

Yes u can!
