Question Specific model in LiteOn?

I've checked out a lot of threads on DVD writers here and I've decided to go for LiteOn. I wouldn't be going for a SATA model or lightscribe technology. Most have suggested going for LH-20A1P. Are there any other better models in the category which I've mentioned available in Bangalore? The price of LH-20A1P in S.P.Road, Bangalore 3 weeks back was Rs.1450-1475, depending on the shops. Is there any way to tell which is original and which is duplicate? All the pieces are box piece.
