Default AMD 64 Bit Processor


Hi,

1. Using AMD Athlon 64Bit 3000+ Processor on Asus A8N Sli Deluxe Board with 4GB RAM, Windows XP 64Bit. Like to upgrade my processor speed. What all AMD Processor support my Mother board.

2. How to find L2 cache Size, Stepping, Manufacturing Tech (CMOS), Wattage and System Bus in my AMD Processor

Getting hands on a 939 socket procy now a days is almost impossible. Even of you get one I dont think it will be any better than 3200+. So if you really want to upgrade you will probably have to change the ram and the mobo too..

dat mobo is of no use, coz todays AMD pcoccy are AM2 socket.
And even X2 6000+ costs only 8k-
Look for any second hand X2 939 socket. They are da best u can get for dat mobo.

I would agree with that, i tried to buy a 939 proc a few months back, most stores didn't have any and the ones who did, had only 3000 and 3200, so I went for am2 , if you want to buy a 939 then your best chance is to search a lot of stores and hope that you'll get lucky.
