Question Recommend a USB TV Tuner.

Hey guys, please recommend me a USB TV Tuner card. My budget is Rs. 3000-3500 it will be a plus point if it has a IR Blaster, and the card must be Vista MCE compatible and should have Composite input also.I also want to know ExpressCard (Not PCMCIA) TV Tuners are avilable in the market.

if you want one that supports MCE, go for a good model from Pinnacle. . Tech-com are also available, but dont expect more clarity.

Just called computer warehouse and enquired about some tuners but unfortunately none were compatible with Vista. Please suggest some more models guys. I guess I need to buy it from SP Road

Finally got a WinFast PalmTop TV for Rs. 3370+tax, It is vista compatible, but after connecting it did I realise that it cannot work with Vista MCE

anyway thanks for the help ( im still searching those helpful replies )

^^^ I installed the latest Vista drivers , the system detected it with out any problem , but when I tried to tune it in MCE .. it said .. Tuner not found.. .. all other softwares detected it, but MCE didnot

^^wow...I guess some Vista problem.It should have been detected by MCE too na?This sux.

no guys.......that thing is certified as "works with windows vista" it dosent means that it would work with "vista MCE" .

IT WOULD WORK WITH WINDOWS VISTA WITH "WINFAST PVR" OR ANY OTHER THIRD PARTY SOFTWARE LIKE chris tv or intervideo windvr.........but i would say stick with winfast pvr as third party softwares dont utilize capabilities of tuners fully...

btw. charan how is picture quality with CATV

I have checked with the normal cable and its prety decent. Have to check with the Settop box. BTW this tuner got the Digit Best Buy Gold award in the August 2007 Issue.
