Cool Problem during DVD burining process

Hi, buddies I am facing very peculiar problem.
I am using LG DVD writer (HK-1480JLGT750G-SCSI CdRom device) in compaq pressario desktop PC.
After formatting C drive and installing new XP professional version 2000 service pack 2, I am facing the this problem. During DVD writing, after 15% completion of buring process suddenly error message pops up " Unspecified error occurs", "burning process failed" and DVD ejects automatically.
However in CD writing this problem is not coming and burning process completes successfully.
Before formatting the C drive everything was nromal (DVD and CD wriritng was OK.)
Please guide me .

either the lg dvd writer is gone or the proper driver is not being installed
if the lg dvd writer came along with the compaq computer then the driver most probably must be somewhere in the restore cd provided by compaq.
if you bought the device then search in lg site for the correct driver to install.

It may be due to improper driver issues. Reinstall drivers for it and try again.
