how to make a home network

I have recently purchased a netgear DG834G Modem+router. I am successful connect my 2 pc with the internet but i want to know how to make the network between the 2 pc. I am connected using one LAN and one wifi and i want to share both the machines. That is i want to share the data between these 2 and also want to play games...

Can someone guide me...

please try and ping machine B from Machine A, vice versa
and post the results here
