need of hardware to upgrade the system

Hi,

I am using P-III 500MHz system purchased in 1999.

Now i want to upgrade my system( only CPU) and i want to use it for general office work , for music, for movies.

Please post the latest hardware that i need to be puchased.

and my budget is within 12000.

dude even nowadays monitor LCD itself costing 12000 and processor for 8000 how can you modify your system for just 12000 also it is a p3,my suggestion is modify the entire board and take p4 or AMD and a best system details are here :

total=13,100Rs for core 2 duo pc or 10,900Rs for the pentium dual core pc.

i suggest u to spend 1k more to increase ur budget to 13k and get the core 2 duo processor

its no use getting a C2D if ur not gonna oc it.better get a AMD based rig with a nvidia/ati based mobo.u'll get good onboard gfx.

whats da meaning of ur post???Not everyone can afford 12k monitor nd 8k proccy. Suggest a config in da budget orelse dun post. He needs only general music, office nd movies.
