DVD RW Not recognised in explorer

In place of old CD rom, a new DVD RW is fixed.
System detected as cd rom but not seen in explorer. Any solution?

Are you able to see it in hardware list in device manager? You need to install the driver for that.

i guess, check your cable connections once again.. remove it from device manager and restart you system.. or first disconnect your DVD-RW and restart your system.. then again turn it off and reconnect the DVD-RW.. and then start it again..

jus remove it from the device manager. also remove the controller to which it is connected and reboot. both the drivers will be installed upon reboot. see if it works out for you.
