Default / Regarding HDD and RAM on ASUS P5B Deluxe/

Hi all.
My system configuration is as follows:-

MB:-Asus P5b Deluxe
HDD:-320gb SATA II
Ram:- ZION 2X1 GB 667MHz
GFX:-8600 GT

Now i want a more 320 SATA II HDD and More 2GB Ram in My Pc

Q1:- Whether the ram and hdd has to be of the same products i earlier used.
And whether the Ram has to be 667MHz.
And installing another 320 GB HDD will slow My Pc.

Please provide me Helpful suggestion and recommendation

Thanks ALL

Large HDDs doesnt slow u down... its the ammout of DATA and number of Folder and Directories which gives OS little Head ache !!! but now days these problems are solved... but some time AVS Real Tiem scanner gives issue

And no u dont have to but from same brand but in case of RAM buy 667 MHz as when u use together with ur older ram if u buy 800 MHz they wiill not run at 800 MHz rather will run as the lowest Frequescy in which other rams are running thats 667 MHz !!!

sure, in case of the RAM , brand doesn't matter , its the latency - which is usually never the same .in that case, the slower speed is picked up.
and if u have more than 3gb ram, make sure u have vista installed ,because xp doesn't detect it - but vista does
since u have 2 HDD's of same capacity , try running them in a RAID 0 config to get maximum speed & performance

go for any company but the same frequency and latencies. But prefer the same company if you manage.

BTW, if a person is having a 553MHz RAM, what would be the wisest decision

1. Buy another RAM of same frequency
2. Buy higher frequency RAM
3. Get the older one replaced to match the newer frequency.

I know 3rd option is the best, but what will be the best choice when cost and performance are given equal weightage.
