Default Buying AMD 939 pin Procy


fellow geeks, which AMD procy will fit in within my budget of rs. 4000 approx. It must be 939 pin.

Also how much should i expect for my 1.5 yr old AMD Athlon 64 3200+ ??

that 939 series is closed now and prolly u wont get a new one.get some AMD X2 - 4400+.new one costs 4k

oh man!! thats bad. i can't even go for AM2 procy, coz i'll then have to change mobo too, which will then also most probably require me to change RAM.

Most probably you will have to get it second hand. Try to get Opteron.
BTW I am also still with my Venice 3000.

if u live in/close to Delhi Mumbai den u mite wan2 check out Nehru Place Lamington Road resp

some dealer may still have a 939 processor (of ocurse u will probably have to do a lot of searching, but @ least in these 2 places all the shops are in one location itself)

yeah, i live in Delhi so i'll check Nehru Place. do u think SMC Intl. will have them?? they keep all AMD products

Buddy Dont commit an upgrade right now...It just might prove to be too costly for you !!! A64 3200+ still packs enough punch to do away with modern applications..rather wait 1 more year and then go for new AM2+ socket cpu with new mobo and ram !!

And BTW you can expect around 1k-1.2k for you cpu if you sell it right now !
