Manual Duplexing in HP Laser Jet 1005

My problem is in picking of paper by printer. It frequently pics 2-3 or may be 4-5 pages in one go, thus giving problems. I first print all odd apges then I print all even pages. I manually take sort unprinted paper in first step of printing but when I come to second part then I face the real trouble.My printing is huge, have to print around 400 papers at one time. Please suggest what can be done.

the papers are usually bent in these printers when they come out the first time. shake out the papers and make sure they are not sticking to each other and let the printer cool down first. Hope the printer is not in a humid place.
