Please identify my sound drivers

i recently bought a laptp and lost the drivers cd..

please help me identify the sound dirvers to be used for it..
currently it is showing "Unknown PCIdevice"

also, ubunu has automatically detected the audio device. is there any way i can know the exact model and driver details via ubuntu??

my laptop is ASUS W3000 series

You've bought a lappy buddy...just go to the manufacturers website..browse to ur lappy's model number and download the driver...simple !!!

that is main problem that i am facing. the exact laptop model that i am having is not listed on their website. my model number is W3H which they have not even listed on their website

I think drivers for these model ll be same. My friend bought hp laptop model no 6409 which is not listed on website, the drivers for similar model on the website 6408 worked with no prob. So download the driver of similar looking model as the hardware is more or less same

u can try to run dxdiag in run
in sound u cud see ur sound card and just try to find sound drivers for that
