Default HDD problem


i dunno what the prob is but a strange one!!! i use xpsp2 and a few days ago installed vista {when i got to know the prob} i tries copying the file about 700 mb size it took me about 50 sec to do so and in xp sp2 it takes abut 1:20 minutes to do the same {copying from one partition to other on same drive}
seagate baracuda 7200 rpm 80 gb hard disk on 915 glvg intel's board help guys

dont you think you should be happy with this.. Vista is taking less time if i understood your question right ?

Try defragmenting ur HDD

didn't u know Vista is faster in many such operations?

hmm....so as per ur task....
moving a 700 mb file..

Win Xp: 80 seconds
Vista: 50 seconds.........

so where is the problem??

this is the prob man hdd should give higher speed in xp too!!!
