Default Dataone Modem frequent disconnections


I just took my dataone connection back, after getting transferred from a different place.
Now, after struggling for five months, i finally have it, but its of hardly any use..
It gets disconnected after every minute.. Dont know why..
But when i had dataone earlier, i never had such a problem..
Moreover, i've noticed that the modem LED at the back of my cpu blinks way too much, which dint use to be the case earlier..
Can anyone direct me on this one?

You phone line had developed some problem. I had the same issue and had mine fixed today.

Just file an automated complaint to the telephone department. The number is '198' here in Siliguri - I don't know whether it is the same nationwide.

if i lodge a complaint, what are they going to do?? change my phone line or do some rewiring?

^try changing the modulation mode.
open the Modem Settings page ( http://192.168.1.1/ ), the User Name & p/w = admin.

follow the instruction as in pic.

if 198 don't work then call 1500 or 1800 425 1600
if these also don't work then
call NIB-II
take there number from 197
surely they will fix

Try disconnecting the wire which goes from the splitter to your phone and see whether it works.
