I've a dual boot xp Pro and vista ultimate

C2D E6230 /intel 946 gzis /1GB DDR2 667MHz/200GB SATA HDD

BIOS says single channel memmory - Are single and dual channel RAM are different? available? price ?
or they are like setting on Mobo?

I want another latest PC

What Intel Motherboard and memory will be BEST for Q6700 [or extreme editions]for 1333MHzFSB , best for 64 bit computing , dual Channel mode.
Money doesn't matter much.

Is 2GB or more size memory modules are available in mumbai, 800 MHz/more?
because only 4 GB [1GB X 4 Modules] can be added to motherboard like intel 975x
Please help, as 4 GB will be barrier for 4 CPU cores in performance in 64 bit computing.

Please answer whatever question you know, Pl before next 10 days.

Generally motherboards have two ram channels with a pair of slots in each.If u install equivalent amount of ram in each channel then u get a dual channel config.Its better than a single channel config because the theoretical data transfer rate doubles and equals the FSB speed bandwidth.For ur query regarding the pc submit in the section for BASIC GUIDE TO PURCHASE A NEW SYSTEM

More RAM More Speed.
Don't go for 4gb single module. Go for dual 2gb modules (Same).

get 1 more GB of same RAM & pair it up.....thats all u are in dual channel mode....(if ur MB has 4 RAM slots use both the sticks on same coloured slot)
