Default Settings for LCD Monitor

I have been using a CRT Monitor for several years for my graphic & Photoediting work, I have recently purchased a Viewsonic VG1930WM monitor however the screen seems to be too bright and tends to hit the eyes, does anyone have standard settings for LCD displays that come close to CRT ones???

If u do graphics work then u should not reduce the brightness, factory calibrated 6500K° is perfect for graphics & will show u true colors & contrast while photoediting.
