Licensed Win XP Professional - OEM version...

Hi Guys,

Can anybody tell me where can I purchase licensed copy of Windows-XP professional OEM version in Pune? And what is the price?

Also is it wise to go for Win Xp now or should I go for Vista Ultimate?

I am gonna build a C2D based machine this weekend. So vista should run on the same.

Vista Home Basic comes for Rs.3500-4500 depending on the grey-market locations. I think you should go for Vista as it's the New O/S for which the future softwares will be developed. It has DirectX 10. And so many other features.

Windows XP Pro, is Rs. 6500/- + TAX
Windows Vista ultimate x86 is Rs. 9500/- + TAX

U should opt for Vista now... but no need to buy Ultimate if u dont need all those useless feature for ur need...

Home Premium would be more than enough for home job, that would save Rs. 3k for sure...

Yes, if you are going to use Windows, go for Windows Vista Home Premium. It is always best to buy the latest in software.
